National Small Business week is coming to a close. (Don't worry - you can support small business year round 😃).  Small business is the heartbeat of Illinois' economy - 99% of businesses in IL are small.

Today I wanted to spotlight a new business in West Chicago - Cocoa Notes Bakeshop. This place has a cool story (and amazing natural lighting). The owner shared that the original idea was to build a bakery near Lurie Children's hospital in downtown Chicago, and that the bakery would be a place for families to recharge after an exhausting day in the hospital. (This beautiful concept was based on the owner's personal experiences.)  https://www.votehannah.com/cocoa_notes_meet_greet?utm_campaign=small_business_cocoa_notes&utm_medium=email&utm_source=yourdreamsmatter

The gorgeous venue is decorated by local artists. The bakeshop partners with local businesses (like Kindred Coffee) and the food pantry. Local charities are supported with cookie jar sales.

Being a businesswoman, I understand the needs of small businesses and am working now to help small businesses in our community follow their dreams.

In an effort to support this new business, we're going to host a Meet & Greet at Cocoa Notes on May 28 at 6p. It's a free event with cookies and coffee. Even if you can only drop in for a few mins, RSVP below and come check out this gem of a bakeshop.

 Here to serve,
