There are nearly 600k veterans here in Illinois. They sacrificed, even suffered so we could enjoy our faith, family, and freedoms. They are the Ultimate Margin Makers. We should, in return, intentionally make margin for these men and women — health care, jobs, and retirement. ⭐️

My tennis bff, Anthony Jackson, served in the Air Force in the 80s. He stated serving at 17. “I became a man pretty quickly.” Yesterday, Tony loaded me up with stories at the Warrenville Veteran’s Day Breakfast (a FIRST CLASS event).

This morning, Ace and I got to reunite with Captain Anthony Catella — a committed servant who’s running for office in Kane County — at the St. Charles Salutes Veterans Celebration.
